NobleWorks has Gone to Pot with New "Weeds" Cards

Smoking-hot new licensed line of greeting cards is based on the hit Showtime series.

New York City, NY (PRWEB) May 15, 2011

NobleWorksCards (NobleWorks Inc) is generating tons of buzz with its latest release of the highly anticipated "Weeds" line of 18 greeting cards, featuring the pot-fueled imagery, characters and themes from the popular Showtime original series.

A bit on the edge and borderline legal, this initial roll-out of 18 hilarious cards includes numerous birthday designs as well as one get-well card and one "Grassias" (thank you) card. These cards deliver laugh-your-grass-off messages such as, "An Apple A Day Makes A Great Bong" and "Doobie, Or Not Doobie? What Was The Question Again?"

Entering its seventh season this year, "Weeds" is about a pot-selling single mom, played by Mary-Louise Parker, who dodges disaster but has a special talent for manipulating her friends, her family and the law. NobleWorks' "Weeds" cards feature many of the show's favorite characters, including Nancy, Andy, Silas, Shane and Doug.

NobleWorks' licensing agreement with Showtime Networks Inc., in partnership with CBS Consumer Products, grants NobleWorks the rights for "Weeds" greeting cards in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia.

"We're reaching for new highs with our 'Weeds' line," states Ron Kanfi, president of NobleWorks. "We expect these cards to be a big hit!"

All of NobleWorks' new "Weeds" cards retail for $2.95 and are printed on demand in the U.S. using recycled paper. The cards will be available for sale on NobleWorks' website at https://www.nobleworkscards.com/humor-cards-by-line-weeds.html

NobleWorks Says F.U. to Cancer!

Fifty percent of the proceeds from the company's new "F*** Cancer" cards will be donated to the American Cancer Society and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) March 9, 2011

NobleWorks is giving the finger to cancer with the introduction of two "F*** Cancer" cards. Since cancer is really no joke, however, the company is donating 50% of proceeds from the sale of these cards to the American Cancer Society and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Blatantly delivering the F-bomb to cancer, these cards are available in two designs - one emblazoned with a pink-ribbon, the other featuring a more masculine, striped pattern. Proceeds from sales of the pink-ribbon card benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.; proceeds from sales of the striped card go to the American Cancer Society.

"We believe these cards simply spell out what we all really think and wish to say," says NobleWorks President Ron Kanfi. "I suppose this is one of those situations when using the F word is really the only way to convey one's sentiment." He adds that NobleWorks - known for its irreverent line of humor greeting cards - is "probably the only publisher that can get away with tackling such a sensitive topic in such a blunt manner."

Both cards are blank inside, retail for $2.95, are printed on demand using recycled paper, and are available for immediate delivery. They're available at https://www.NobleWorksCards.com as well as through enGreet at https://www.engreet.com, which offers direct ship and customization of the cards.

"Life Is Like a Box of Dirty Diapers" A New Bestseller-to-Be! Humorous Book Written by NobleWorks' Ron Kanfi

Hot off the press is the new humorous paperback book from Running Press, "Life Is Like a Box of Dirty Diapers: And Other Twisted Truisms" ($9.95 retail). Written by Ron Kanfi, president of the well-known humor company NobleWorks, Inc., "Life is Like a Box of Dirty Diapers" offers 128 pages of spoofs on classic corporate motivational posters.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 1, 2010

Anything but corporate, this hilarious book features a collection of irreverent parodies that capitalizes on the familiar look and style of the traditional motivational (or demotivational) poster, but its original combination of outrageous text and full-color photos packs a surprising -- and hilarious -- punch. Covering a wide range of topical issues from career to politics, relationships to environmentalism, these parodies may not help people find their true potential, but they will make them laugh out loud!

Among the clever, sometimes off-color, "motivational posters" included in this book are and "Good Will: One that leaves you with a large inheritance," "Economics: The art of deciphering the charges on your phone bill" and "Purpose: Everyone has to have one; mine is watching TV."

Kanfi says that the motivational-poster format lent itself well to many jokes. "It's current and familiar," he explains. "It was a great vehicle to deliver jokes and to comment on day-to-day life situations." Kanfi describes the book as "a fun and entertaining book that's perfect for the coffee table or bathroom," adding, "It's visually appealing and it's hysterical. I haven't met one person who has been able to put it down!"

For more information about the book and to order, please contact Running Press Book Publishers, a member of the Perseus Books Group, at 800-345-5359 or visit https://www.runningpress.com.

NobleWorks, Inc. Celebrates 30th Anniversary (But Doesn't Look a Day Over 29)

What's fun, a little naughty and just turned 30? It's NobleWorks, Inc.! Launched at the National Stationery Show in 1980, this Hoboken, NJ-based line of humor greeting cards has been keeping consumers laughing and retailers smiling for 30 years.

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) February 5, 2010

What's fun, a little naughty and just turned 30? It's NobleWorks, Inc.! Launched at the National Stationery Show in 1980, this Hoboken, NJ-based line of humor greeting cards has been keeping consumers laughing and retailers smiling for 30 years.

What's the secret to NobleWorks' and https://www.NobleWorksCards.com longtime success? "Publishing humor that is current and relevant to our customers' lives while continually developing new, updated looks and lines," states Ron Kanfi, who joined NobleWorks soon after its launch and today serves as the company's president and creative director. "Customer relations and rep relations are a top priority as well," he adds.

NobleWorks was founded by Christopher Noble, a house painter, and Jay Purvis, a magazine art director, who started the company in Noble's kitchen with a $400 loan from his mother. The original line of 12 cards was more artsy than edgy, and hand-painted with flat latex paint. (Sadly, both Noble and Purvis eventually succumbed to AIDS.)

Today, NobleWorks, also known as "The Humor Company," features more than 1,500 everyday and seasonal greeting cards designs -- ranging from slightly silly to somewhat risqué -- including birthday cards, Christmas cards, Valentine cards, Father's Day cards, Mother's Day cards, Graduation cards and more. The company partners with designers and cartoonists worldwide – offering humor greeting cards that feature cartoons from Tim Whyatt, McCoy Bros., Funny Paper and many others. The company's Talk Bubbles line, introduced in 1984, was the industry's first "retro" card concept – combining vintage imagery with hilarious verses. Other popular humor greeting card lines from NobleWorks include Planet Fabulous, Weekly World News, Hot Betty, Spot On Button (cards with removable message buttons) and much more.

In addition to greeting cards, the company offers several of its designs on memo pads and mugs. Also complementing the line are two humorous books authored by Kanfi and published by Running Press, including "Saint Misbehavin': Modern-Day Saints You've Never Heard Of" and "Life Is Like a Box of Dirty Diapers – And Other Twisted Truisms."

Politics, religion and current events are among themes given a humorous – and sometimes controversial – spin at NobleWorks "We're able to adapt the line at a moment's notice to keep it fresh and current," says Kanfi, noting that the company's slogan is "Dare to Laugh."

NobleWorks' complete product line can be viewed at its website – https://www.nobleworkscards.com – where visitors to the site can also access the company's blog as well as send free e-cards. A fully functional wholesale version of the site is soon to be launched.

For more information on NobleWorks' funny greeting cards, please contact the company at 855-267-3163 or visit https://www.nobleworkscards.com.
